Wendy Liebman
Wendy Liebman has developed one of the most unique and hilarious deliveries in all of stand-up comedy. Her impeccable timing and use of tag lines quickly propelled her to the forefront of the comedy world. After taking a class on how to be a stand up, Wendy molded her craft for six years in the New England area before she won The Johnny Walker Comedy Competition in Boston in 1990. She won a trip to LA to compete in the finals and the next week she was on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson and the rest is comedy history. Since then, Wendy has been a regular on the Late Show with David Letterman and appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Wendy also makes an appearance in the new movie "The Aristocrats."
In addition, she has the distinction of being the first comedian to perform on the Rosie O'Donnell Show, and she has done two comedy specials, one for HBO and one for Comedy Central. Other television appearances include The New Hollywood Squares, Dr. Katz Professional Therapist, The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, Keenan Ivory Wayans Show, Comic Relief VII, Louie Anderson's Comedy Showcase, VH-1's Stand-up Spotlight, MTV's Half Hour Comedy Hour, The Daily Show, The Magic Johnson Show, HBO's Women of the Night, Politically Incorrect, Women Aloud, and The RuPaul Show, as well as Comic Strip Live, Sunday Comics, Evening at the Improv, Caroline's Comedy Hour, Bob Hope Ladies of Laughter, Lifetime's Six Comics in Search of a Generation and the Chuck Woolery Show.
