Celebrating his 20th year of live performances, Kevin Anthony does not sound like other comedians. He has a razor sharp, conversational delivery where he talks about life experiences, international travels including entertaining our troops in England, Germany and other European locales. He incorporates current events in a mischievous form of entertainment. An entertainer very proud of his contributions made to the community of service men and woman, he has for the last 10 years, headlined and promoted his talent in collaboration with the United States Marine Corp and their yearly "Toys for Tots Project", giving toys to impoverished families in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. metro areas. The U.S. Marine Corp awarded Kevin Anthony the certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Support in gratitude for his years of contribution.
Kevin Anthony has quickly moved up from headlining in the comedy club circuits to center stage as an accomplished comedic performer. He has been showcased and recognized by seasoned entertainers including the late great Robin Harris and well respected Paul Mooney. He's opened for Martin Lawrence, D.L. Hughley, Bernie Mac and Jamie Foxx in the recent successful "Laffapalooza" tour and been called upon as an opening act for major musical stars such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Gil Scott Herron, Gerald Albright, Walter Beasley, Kool & the Gang and Boney James. He's called back regularly because of his audience appeal, presence and overall razor sharp style of humor.
Kevin Anthony is a past winner of the "Coors Light Super Talent Showcase", competed in the Bay Area Black Comedy Competition and been highlighted on Cathy Hughes' "Shooting Star Search Radio Show". Kevin was hand picked as the Master of Ceremonies for the Bacardi Imports "Funniest Comedy Tour" and his talents include writing for BET's "RAP CITY". Other television credits include: appearances on "Showtime at the Apollo", "Soul of Comedy", BET's "Comic View", HBO's "Russell Simmon's Def Comedy Jam", HBO's "Def Comedy All Stars" and "The Apollo Comedy Hour".
The Washington Post newspaper, Ebony and Sister to Sister magazines have featured and touted Kevin Anthony as one of the nation's rising stars in the comedy industry. Kevin Anthony is a graduate of the renowned Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C.
